Meet the Founder

For me, the journey of teaching a child/young person is a magical one.  I enjoyed teaching my very active first son to read at the age of 3 and found I had to be very creative to keep him interested and engaged.  He was and continues to be a bookworm just like his mummy and I am proud to have passed on my passion for reading, a love that I continue to enjoy sharing with other children and young people.

I love reading and writing now and despite having dyslexia I have been able to obtain a degree and work in a corporate environment.  I can admit that learning wasn’t always fun or stimulating and it wasn’t until I reached my early twenties that I discovered why I found school very challenging.
In this journey of discovering myself, I have also uncovered my hidden gifts and talents and have noticed the huge differences amongst the children I have worked with in regards to their learning styles and talents.

This is one of the main reasons that I and my husband have decided to home-school our children.  This was a difficult decision and I can see the benefits of both educational routes but, at the moment, I am thoroughly enjoying facing this new challenge and the skills I am uncovering along the way.
But back to my journey!  In spy high is the company that aims to always seek out the best in people.  It reminds me to be the best person, mother, wife, coach and woman I can be and use my skills and talents to find the same in others.

I am creative and love music, art, dancing, gardening, and sewing.  I love children and could happily spend hours playing with them.  I have also discovered a love for writing, although I will happily admit my dislike for editing and find myself lucky to have a talented and supportive husband for this!

Through In Spy High I have formed a group called ‘Sound Play’ and this was because I had met a group of mummies that wanted to offer their children an educational and fun experience in their early years.
Art Attack Parties then followed and this was formed because I wanted to share my passion for art both with my own and with other children.  I had a desire to help children have fun away from the power of technology for as long as possible.

I have thoroughly enjoy the socialising aspect of my work and I enjoy being an active figure within my community.  I have met hundreds of Parents since having my two little girls and they all inspire me to be the best I can be.

In Spy High was formed by me, Jade.

In 2012 I qualified as a social worker and landed my perfect job combining social work and education.  I worked full time as the head of pastoral care in a special needs school and in 2015 I decided to broaden my horizons in this field and start working for myself.  I have always had a keen interest in education and the desire to help children be able to overcome various obstacles to thrive in life.  One of my previous roles has involved working as an interventions co-ordinator within a school and my favourite part of this role was the one-to-one support I was able to give to children unable to read.
